ITC launches new tourism courses for current high school students!
High school students shouldn’t have to wait until they graduate to start studying the exciting world of travel, tourism, and aviation.
Yet if your high school doesn’t offer these courses, ITC can help. We’ve just launched three new courses available for high school students. These courses all offer credits at level 3, and can all be completed during normal school time at our Botany Campus.
Here’s a little more about each one!

Posted on 20/03/2024 by Hayley ClarkEvery year, we ask our students a few questions about why they chose us, and where they’d like to work one day.
We recently checked in with our Whangarei students to learn more about their motivations – or ultimately, why they are here studying with us now!
For anyone considering applying to study at ITC, do these life goals look anything like yours?

Posted on 21/02/2024 by Hayley ClarkSeane Gifford, like so many of ITC’s incredible team, has an impressive background in travel and tourism.
She caught the travel bug from her mother at a young age, and always wondered what else was out there in the world for her to discover. That curiosity led to travels, qualifications, and amazing roles throughout her career.
Now, ITC is excited to welcome her to the team as a Tourism Education Tutor & marketing support person. We can’t wait to see her share her knowledge with students.

Posted on 07/02/2024 by Hayley ClarkThe New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a strand in Tourism and Travel Level 3 is one of our most popular course options.
It’s a fantastic entry-level course for anyone looking to take their first step into a career in travel and tourism, and it covers all the basic information you’ll need to work in a variety of roles, from hotel jobs to flight attending, travel agencies to airports.
This qualification is so popular, in fact, that the next start date on February 12 for the Auckland City Campus is already completely full. That’s why we’ve announced another intake for this course at the Auckland City Campus, which will start on March 11 (and is already starting to fill up!).

Posted on 16/01/2024 by Hayley ClarkThe Fees Free program offers a huge leg up for first time learners in New Zealand, but it is set to change as the government has decided to adapt the policy. Don’t panic, ITC still offers Fees Free to their learners!
Until now, the program has helped students to pay for the first year of their studies. With the new policy, Fees Free will cover the final year of a student’s qualifications, which often means the third year for university students undertaking a standard bachelor’s degree.
This has made some people nervous that potential students might be put off from starting a qualification, but the good news for ITC students is that it largely won’t change anything!

Posted on 10/01/2024 by Hayley ClarkThere’s nothing quite like New Zealand over the silly season, when work and school close down for the break, the weather celebrates (in some areas, at least), and we all get some time to relax.
Now, we’re excited to kick off a New Year, and even more excited to welcome our students back into the classroom so they can kick start their careers in travel and tourism.
We’re open right now, and taking enrolments for new students!
