A career in tourism or travel is above all about working with people. Whether you are helping someone book the holiday of their dreams or greeting visitors at a hotel reception, your job is to make their travel experience enjoyable. If you love people and have a passion for travel, then you will find this career incredibly rewarding and exciting.

What types of jobs can I get?

 What qualification do I need?

If you are new to the workforce then the New Zealand Certificate in Tourism Level 3 is a great starting point, followed by the New Zealand Certificate in Travel Level 4. If you are interested in management positions, then a Level 5 Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management is an excellent option.
