The Backpacker Youth Adventure Tourism Association (BYATA) recently hosted its annual conference, and invited ITC’s Key Stakeholder Manager, Ceri Jenkins, to speak at the event.

The fact that ITC was asked out of all the tourism education providers in Aotearoa is a testament to the reputation of our college. Posted on 06/09/2023 by

Annie Shields is a Study From Home graduate working for Weta Workshop and AJ Hackett.

ITC and Study From Home are special education providers for many reasons. One of those reasons is because we care about our students so much that we stay in touch long after they graduate. We love hearing how their careers are going, and we’re always on hand to help them with their job hunts thanks to our Employment Consultants.

Sometimes, we hear from graduates who blow us away with their success. One such graduate is Annie Shields. Annie is working two part-time jobs right now, one for Weta Workshop as a tour guide, and one for AJ Hackett at the Bridge Bungy.

Of course, we had to get in touch and learn more about her amazing journey so far.

ITC Schools Team launches our first ever Achievement Standard

Posted on 09/08/2023 by

Our first ever Achievement Standard provides a strong foundation in marketing basics.

ITC’s Schools Team is excited to share their very first Achievement Standard, which has recently been approved by NZQA.

This Achievement Standard is focused on marketing, which is an integral part of travel and tourism and a large career possibility for students who might enter into Destination Marketing in the future. That said, students who complete this Achievement Standard will come away with a great foundation in marketing principles that can be applied to any industry.

ITC has been working hard to create this new resource, which will be available in high schools across New Zealand as a Short Course.
