Auckland City’s new tutor, Fiona!
The ITC family is one of real diversity. We come from all over Aotearoa, and we have all sorts of backgrounds and interests. The one thing we all have in common is real-world experience in travel and tourism!
Our newest recruit, Fiona, is no different. Bit early by the travel bug, Fiona has built a career on helping others to see the world and love their adventures, and on teaching travel and tourism.
We’re so excited to welcome her to the family, where she will be working as a tutor at the Auckland City campus. We chatted to Fiona to learn a little more!

Sumaiya Yasmin has joined the ITC team as our new Botany tutor!
Sumaiya Yasmin has recently joined the ITC whanau as a tutor, bringing with her a truly impressive wealth of experience – including visiting 92 countries!
For example, she has seven years’ experience as a Senior Cabin Crew for Qatar Airways and a Premium Host at Auckland Airport for Qantas/OACIS.
We of course had to ask Sumaiya a little more, from what her favourite job has been (before now!), so how she thinks her experience will best help her ITC students.

New Botany Student Services Advisor Brad in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
ITC has been fortunate recently to hire Brad Sargent as a Student Services Advisor at the Botany Campus.
Like all of our team, he has plenty of passion for the tourism industry, and great experiences working in it to share with students. And as it turns out, he was basically born to work in tourism, considering his parents met while on a Contiki trip through Europe!
We’re so excited for Brad to be part of the team and see him help guide students on their journeys into the tourism industry. Read on to get to know a little more about Brad and his background!

Meet Susan Afoa: Former student, current tutor, and Pacifica leadership personal development scholarship recipient!
We first introduced Susan Afoa in June last year when she was a new tutor for ITC Botany, but when we first met her, it was almost 10 years ago when she enrolled as a student!
Susan has come a long way in the past decade, and we couldn’t be more proud of her success story, or more excited for her to be part of our team so she can help new students follow in her footsteps.
We recently caught up with Susan to learn more about her experiences, her work as a tutor, and her exciting new scholarship! (more…)
