Hear from the ITC student whose International Working Holiday experience has been “life changing”!
The team at ITC is often as much a family as it is a college, as we stay in touch with our students and cheer on their successes as they gain experience in the industry and travel around the world.
We recently heard from an Auckland City Campus student, Leandri. Leandri was initially upset about not getting her dream job elsewhere, but ITC Employment Consultant Sarndra suggested an internship with International Working Holidays.
“We made some calls and the rest is history!”, explained Sarndra.
Here’s Leandri’s incredible update:

And every now and then, we catch up with a past student who is living that unbelievable lifestyle.
Today, that’s Shaz Beardsmore, a graduate that we last caught up with seven years ago as they were doing the Disney Cultural Exchange Program and making big plans for the future.
“There’s just so much to explore, it’s hard to know where my travel list ends!” they said.
So when we recently heard from Shaz, we knew we had to share their updated travels and adventures!

Posted on 22/11/2023 by Hayley Clark“ITC’s long history of consistently working so collaboratively with the airline, travel and tourism industry in New Zealand has led us to being the first point of contact for businesses looking to recruit the future tourism workforce,” says Ceri Jenkins, Key Stakeholder Manager for ITC.
“The combination of these extensive partnerships, quality of teaching and the dedication and hard work of our Employment Consultants, enables us to provide the best service to our students to truly stand by our promises when we first meet our prospective students whilst they are still in school, or in their initial meeting with our course advisor to see which study option is best for them,” he continued.
All this training and dedication leads us to the end of each year where we look back and celebrate our many inspiring students who have gained incredible roles in the travel and tourism industry all over Aotearoa and beyond.

Posted on 13/07/2023 by Hayley ClarkShania Wheatley is an ITC graduate who moved to Auckland to study with us in 2016 and never looked back.
She landed a job in 2017 and was accepted into the Disney Exchange Program, and like many young graduates in the last few years, the pandemic threw a spanner in the works – but her positive attitude and hard work saw her come out on top.
As we lead up to this year’s Disney Exchange Program, we thought now would be a great time to catch up again and ask about her time with Disney, and if she has any advice for new students.

Posted on 16/05/2023 by Hayley ClarkWe are once again full steam ahead preparing our graduates with their applications for the next Disney Exchange Program opportunity happening in August this year.
Our level 4 & 5 graduates are all so excited to meet the Disney representative who will soon visit to discuss this life changing experience.
To celebrate this amazing opportunity we reached out to a number of ITC graduates who were lucky enough to be a part of the Disney Cultural Exchange. We’re calling this project ‘Adventures after Disney’, and will be following up with where the graduates are now, and how they feel that the exchange impacted their lives and careers.
ITC takes pride in supporting and communicating with graduates over the 26+ years we’ve been in business, this is so exciting for us to once more re-visit our students’ adventures.
To start, we spoke to graduate Emma Morris.

Posted on 12/10/2022 by Hayley ClarkAs the New Zealand travel and tourism industry gears up for a very busy summer season ahead, we’re seeing our ITC graduates get snapped up by employers practically as they walk out the door from their graduation ceremony. Many before they graduate.
One of those employers is Air New Zealand, which is quickly hiring and training staff across their operations all over the country. We are fortunate to be recognised as a preferred provider for many airlines and tourism organisations. Our highly skilled graduates are sought after by the industry.
For us, these job offers are hugely exciting, as many of our graduates begin studying with us with the goal of working for this renowned and award-winning airline. To see students land their dream jobs immediately is everything we could hope for as an education provider.
One of these graduates is Ruby Cowie, a Study From Home graduate who has been dreaming of working with Air New Zealand since she was 10 years old. We reached out to Ruby to have a quick chat about the application process and her advice for other students.
