Did you know that ITC is more than just a tourism and airline tertiary provider?

Posted on 18/10/2023 by

ITC is more than just an in-person travel and tourism tertiary education provider.

The International Travel College of New Zealand has been providing training courses for the airline, airport, travel and tourism industries since 1996.

We have firmly cemented ourselves as a trusted leading supplier of these tertiary qualifications, and our wide network of industry contacts is a testament to our work in this space.

However, did you know that ITC is also so much more than that? Our in-person tertiary campuses are just part of what we do. We also operate Study From Home and Study From Work, two very different learning options.

ITC’s free events a major hit with future students, students, and graduates!

Posted on 10/10/2023 by

ITC’s free events have been a huge hit with future students, current students, and graduates!

ITC recently hosted 4 incredible free events for anyone wanting to explore International Exchanges or the huge variety of airline roles available to our graduates. These were very popular and it’s been so incredible to meet so many excited visitors securing their places over the last two weeks.

Here’s more info about the events, and details about new events coming up!

International Exchange events

In the first week of our school holidays we shared the inside knowledge to our visitors about International Exchanges.

As a preferred provider of Disney & International Working Holidays, we were able to share the pathway, requirements and tips for anyone wanting to go overseas and work in some incredibly life changing roles.

We invited special guest, Shelby Cooper, Operations Director of International Working Holidays, who discussed the huge variety of options for anyone wanting to go on an overseas adventure, with stories of ITC graduates who are living the dream overseas right now!

Aviation events

We took off in the second week to discover the wonderful world of aviation.

Those who attended had the amazing opportunity to hear from a variety of ITC graduates who are currently work for Menzies Aviation & Air New Zealand, from ground staff to flight attendants. Everyone walked away with a pathway to so many roles and opportunities that await them next year.

Upcoming free ITC events

If you missed out on the earlier events, we have a couple more coming up and it’s not too late to join!

We have two Enrollment Days, one this Thursday 12 October, and another next week Thursday 19 October.

You can visit either our Auckland Central City Campus or our Botany Campus at any time between 9am and 4pm to learn about ITC and Study From Home, and even enrol right there on the spot!

That said, if you’re interested in learning more and enrolling but can’t make one of those days, simply get in touch and we’ll set up a time that does work for you.

Becoming an ITC student

As an ITC student you get these incredible opportunities like career days and more during your studies with us. The above is only the beginning of an adventure as an ITC student.

If you want to discover more about being an ITC student and the amazing opportunities you get when you study with us, you can pop in and even bring a friend or relative for a no obligation free information session at one of our 3 different campus locations. There is even the option to Study From Home. Book a time that suits you here.

Enrol now

Have you already made up your mind and want to secure your place and improve your career?

We are excited to announce that we still have space left on our Auckland City or Botany Campus November 2023 start after NCEA finishes. Our courses begin at this time to give students the option to study over summer and graduate at the BEST time for gaining a role in the airline this time next year! Plus, you’ll even still get a summer break to enjoy some time off.

Alternatively, we are enrolling for Auckland City, Botany & Whangarei Campus for 2024 as well. Visit our website to learn more.

To enrol, simply bring in your identification (passport, licence or birth certificate) and we can secure your place. We recommend NCEA level 2 to be eligible. We can assist with the process.

Or, you can start your enrolment process from the comfort of your home! Click here to enrol online!

ITC’s Key Stakeholder, Ceri Jenkins, speaks at the BYATA conference.

The Backpacker Youth Adventure Tourism Association (BYATA) recently hosted its annual conference, and invited ITC’s Key Stakeholder Manager, Ceri Jenkins, to speak at the event.

The fact that ITC was asked out of all the tourism education providers in Aotearoa is a testament to the reputation of our college. Ceri took this opportunity to speak on behalf of tourism education as a whole, and to raise awareness for the importance of strong qualification options for young Kiwis interested in the industry.

From Study From Home to Weta Workshop to AJ Hackett: Meet the graduate making waves!

Posted on 06/09/2023 by

Annie Shields is a Study From Home graduate working for Weta Workshop and AJ Hackett.

ITC and Study From Home are special education providers for many reasons. One of those reasons is because we care about our students so much that we stay in touch long after they graduate. We love hearing how their careers are going, and we’re always on hand to help them with their job hunts thanks to our Employment Consultants.

Sometimes, we hear from graduates who blow us away with their success. One such graduate is Annie Shields. Annie is working two part-time jobs right now, one for Weta Workshop as a tour guide, and one for AJ Hackett at the Bridge Bungy.

Of course, we had to get in touch and learn more about her amazing journey so far.
