Well here’s the secret – there really is no secret!
To be eligible, you’ll simply need to study our Level 4 Certificate in Travel. Not only is this course enrolling now for a start date in late May, there are also plenty of other fantastic reasons why this certificate is well worth studying.
What you’ll learn with the New Zealand Certificate in Travel
This course is a natural progression of our level 3 studies – although you don’t necessarily have to have completed them in order to enrol (more on that shortly!).
It covers a variety of practical, hands-on learning opportunities, from industry visits and roleplays to guest speakers and field trips.
You’ll learn about online fares and ticketing systems, including the AMADEUS system which is used both here in New Zealand and around the world.
Your studies will include selling skills, financial operations, teamwork, client relationships, career development, and more. And while all of these skills and all of this knowledge is vital for the travel and tourism industry, it’s also hugely beneficial for other roles and industries as well.
Why study the New Zealand Certificate in Travel
As well as the skills, knowledge, and valuable qualification, this level 4 course is a fantastic option for other reasons, too.
One major reason to enrol is that this course takes just 21 weeks to complete. That means if you enrol now for the late May start date, you’ll be finishing up and graduating in spring – just in time for the travel and tourism hiring spree that occurs in the lead-up to summer every year.
Of course, the fact that this certificate is a stepping stone towards the Disney Cultural Exchange Program is a huge reason why many students opt for level 4. We help many of our graduates through the application process, and cheer them on as they head overseas for an unforgettable and life-changing experience.
Who is eligible to enrol?
If you have completed level 3 with us, then you’ll already know you’re eligible to enrol for level 4.
That said, students who have completed level 3 at other colleges or education providers are just as welcome to enrol. Whether you didn’t like the teaching style or are just looking for a change, you’ll be warmly welcomed to our family here at ITC!
However, you don’t have to have studied level 3 to be eligible. If you have some kind of relevant work experience, you may also be eligible to enrol. This is a popular option for those who have started working then either realised they want to do something else or wanted to upskill to be eligible for better jobs.
And if you aren’t eligible right now – but are working on it – there are two more courses this year. One starts in July and one starts in August, so you can simply wait a little longer to get started!
