Apply now for your chance to win an ITC Scholarship!

ITC is offering scholarships for a number of lucky students. Enter now to be in to win.
ITC and Study From Home have just opened up applications for some amazing scholarship opportunities!
With the New Zealand Tourism and Aviation sectors currently unable to find enough skilled workers, ITC is helping people with a passion for joining the Travel & Tourism industry gain first-class skills and knowledge.
ITC is giving away multiple scholarships for full-time students, which are worth up to $5,600 per student. Not only that, it’s also on top of the Fees Free program, so you could have the first part of your study covered by Fees Free, and the second part partially paid for by a scholarship!
Here’s a little more about what an ITC Scholarship entails, who is eligible and how to apply.

ITC supports the Himalayan Trust and Everest Day.
ITC often talks about travelling, experiencing other cultures, and learning about the world. But we also often live it, too.
One such way has long been through our celebrations and recent support of Everest Day. Here’s a little more about what that day is (and means), and how we continue to support the legacy of one of New Zealand’s greatest heroes Sir Edmund Hillary, and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay.

Posted on 01/06/2022 by Hayley Clark
ITC is excited to welcome international students once again.
When New Zealand’s borders shut to the world, as well as saying goodbye to international tourism, we also said goodbye to our international students.
ITC has long welcomed international students to our classes, and we have greatly missed their presence, culture, and languages in our classes.
That’s why we’re so excited to say ‘welcome back!’ to international students this year. The Ministry of Education has granted a number of exemptions to allow students into New Zealand to study, but from July 31, any international students will be able to apply for a student visa and come over to earn their qualifications.

Now in the wake of Covid, Shania has made another big move – and a big lifestyle change! Her journey is truly a whirlwind, but it has a happy ending.
Here it is in her own words.

Posted on 27/04/2022 by Hayley Clark
Paralympian Michael Johnson spoke with ITC graduate Sinead McDonnell about tourism’s need for more accessible travel.
The final subject of the New Zealand Diploma in Tourism and Travel at Level 5 is tourism & hospitality research and analysis. As part of this subject, students must choose a topic to research – ideally one they have a special interest in.
For Sinead McDonnell, the choice was simple. Her own family history inspired her to take a closer look into the accessibility of the New Zealand hotel industry, and found real gaps in what’s currently available – and what could encourage more lesser abled tourists to explore New Zealand.
Read on to find out more about Sinead’s inspiration, project, thoughts, and future goals! (more…)
