The high school year is quickly coming to a close with exams and summer holidays just around the corner.

For many students (and plenty of their parents!), the questions becomes: what’s next?

One fantastic option is to study with us, starting in November, and get a head start on a post-high school qualification.

Two entry-level courses starting November 21

ITC is offering two level 3 courses starting on November 21. Both courses are just 20 weeks long, so students will be finishing up and graduating just after Easter.

The first course is the New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a strand in Aviation, which is available at our South Auckland Campus. This is an excellent option for anyone looking to become a flight attendant or work in an airport, as it provides an introduction to check-in systems, aviation security, airline operations, travel documentation, and more.

The second option is the New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a strand in Tourism and Travel, which is available at our Auckland City campus. This course is focused more on the travel and tourism industry outside of airports, where you’ll learn a variety of skills such as cross-cultural communication, destinational geography, travel documentation, and more.

Either course can set you up for a shining career in travel, tourism, or aviation, and the best part is, you’ll be finishing your course and graduating with your qualifications right when others from your year are just starting their college and university courses!

Why study in November rather than early next year?

• Get started in November with four weeks on-campus, then enjoy a three week summer break over Christmas and New Year before returning to class
• Finish months before students who start in Feb/March 2023. You’ll be the first in for the best jobs and opportunities!
• Get a three week break between level 3 and level 4 if you plan to continue studying
• Graduate from level 4 just as Tourism & Aviation recruitment will be ramping up for the 2023 summer season (13 October)

ITC is one of the few providers to offer courses that begin in November, allowing our students to get a head start on their career plans and make the most of their summer. And of course, these programs are just from Monday to Thursday, so you’ll still have three days off every week for summer fun and any part time jobs.
