ITC students Tala and Lita have both secured permanent roles at Base Backpackers thanks to the College’s work experience programme
Two more students from the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) have landed exciting new roles in the tourism industry.
Lita Lamipeti and Tala Time have both been offered permanent roles at Base Backpackers in Auckland after successfully completing work experience at the Queen Street branch.

Home to bubbling geysers, beautiful lakes and an awesome collection of adventure activities, you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop to teach about travel and tourism.
Although ITC’s campuses are based in Auckland, the College has a team dedicated to delivering offsite short courses around New Zealand. Rotorua was the last offsite destination for 2014 and it certainly ended the year on a high note.

International Travel College student Anastasiya Kolchunova is awarded her IATA Foundation Exam certificate by tutor Steve Burke
One very bright student at the International Travel College (ITC) has scored the highest mark in New Zealand for the IATA Foundation Exam.
Anastasiya Kolchunova is an international student from Russia who has been at ITC since February 2013. She has completed Level 3 and Level 4 and is now studying towards a Level 5 Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management.

Lisa Chen, an ITC international student from China, has landed her first job in the New Zealand tourism industry. She is working as a part-time receptionist at Base Backpackers while she continues her studies
It’s been a week of job-related celebrations at the International Travel College (ITC). Yesterday we announced that 50 ITC students were employed by Renaissance Tours and today we are celebrating the success of Lisa Chen, who recently started a new part-time job at Base Backpackers in Auckland.
Lisa is an international student from China and is currently studying towards a Level 5 Diploma in International Tourism and Travel Management. She is working for Base as a part-time receptionist while she finishes her studies.

Posted on 25/11/2014 by Jess O'ConnorAuckland’s cruise season has started! Several cruise ships are scheduled to dock in the harbour over the busy summer period, bringing many overseas visitors to Auckland’s doorstep.
Students from the International Travel College (ITC) will be working on the frontline when ships arrive, welcoming visitors into Auckland and processing tickets and related paperwork. Renaissance Tours has hired 50 ITC students to work as check-in agents at The Hilton throughout the summer. (more…)

ITC graduate Shannon Bailey has landed an exciting new role with Bon Voyage travel specialists in Parnell.
When Shannon Bailey graduated from the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC), she had a few goals in mind. One was to land a dream job in the tourism industry. Little did she know what was just around the corner!
Shannon has landed more than a dream job – she’s kickstarted a dream career. She was recently picked to be Bon Voyage’s new ‘Travel Apprentice’. Bon Voyage is a specialist travel agency based in Parnell, Auckland and one of New Zealand’s top selling consultants.
