Another ITC work experience success story!
Two more students from the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) have landed exciting new roles in the tourism industry.
Lita Lamipeti and Tala Time have both been offered permanent roles at Base Backpackers in Auckland after successfully completing work experience at the Queen Street branch.
ITC City Campus Manager Michelle Chatfield said she is incredibly proud of the girls and glad to see the College’s work experience programme is producing such outstanding results.
“Work experience is such an important part of our level 4 programme. It’s like a ‘try before you buy’ for both industry and students,” Michelle said.
“For Tala and Lita to be going straight from finishing their studies into work is a win-win! Seeing how excited they are makes all of the ITC team so very proud.”
The girls will be joining a fun, young team, including some fellow ITC students! Earlier this month ITC international student Lisa Chen also started working at Base Auckland.
Base is one of many industry partners that look to ITC for new staff members. Our graduates are known for being hard-working, enthusiastic and most importantly, work-ready.
ITC courses are designed to include plenty of role play and practical activities so students are prepared to enter the workforce. There’s more to study than text books!
We pride ourselves on providing students with a quality education that leads to jobs in the industry, so we couldn’t be happier to see Tala and Lita find work so soon after finishing study. We wish them all the best!
