Robert Stiff was originally a short course student at Kamo High School in Whangarei, but it wasn’t long before he was hooked on tourism and enrolled for the Level 4 Certificate at our Whangarei (North Tec) campus.
Today, he’s working in an incredible job (that doesn’t even feel like a job, according to him), and considering his options for studying for a Level 5 diploma!
We recently caught up with Robert to learn more about his inspiring journey. (more…)Posted in News, Student success | Tagged Career in travel and tourism, Dream job, Short course, Whangarei | Leave a reply
Tobius clearly had a bright future ahead of him, which is why it was no surprise (but a great cause for celebration!) when he landed his dream role with Air New Zealand.
As we lead up to our August Disney Exchange intake, we thought now would be a great time to touch base with Tobius, see how he’s doing, and find out more about his experiences with the program.
And he got back to us during his down time on a trip to Houston!
Here’s what he had to say, and his advice for students.News, Student success | Tagged Disney Exchange Program, Dream job, Graduate interview | Leave a reply
Many ITC and Study From Home students begin study with us with the goal of working as a flight attendant.
Botany graduate Lillie Robinson is a great example. She began studying with us with flight attending in mind, and while her tutors ensured she knew about the many other great options in the industry, they also supported her in her work to become a flight attendant.
Today, we’re excited to see Lillie succeed, as she graduated from ITC and went on to land a flight attending role with Qantas – and is now loving her job!

Meet the international student who arrived in NZ alone and anxious, and is now Head of Operations in her dream job!Posted on 09/11/2022 by Hayley Clark
Lesly Dihayco was an international student at ITC over a decade ago. She arrived in New Zealand not knowing anyone, and not really knowing what she wanted to do.
ITC helped with both problems immediately!
One of our friendly team members was at the airport to welcome her to Aotearoa and ITC, and our fantastic courses quickly gave her the insight she needed to choose and chase a career. She decided on working in travel agencies, and her career since then has been an impressive journey that has landed her in her dream job (as Head of Operations, no less).
As usual, it’s a tale best heard in her own words:News, Student success, Study inspiration | Tagged Dream job, Graduate interview, International Students, Travel Agency | Leave a reply
