How ITC’s flexibility makes tertiary study possible, no matter what life throws at you

Posted on 03/03/2021 by

ITC offers flexible study options, so you can earn your qualifications no matter what life throws at you.

Continuing with your studies after high school is a wonderful way to earn an education at a higher level, and to gain knowledge and skills specialised for your future dream career.

Unfortunately, not all universities and colleges make that as straight-forward as it could be. Many demand in-person attendance from Monday to Friday, with few options for flexibility, even if you desperately need it.

ITC understands that for some, tertiary study isn’t as simple as just showing up to class every day. We know that life can throw things at you that make a ‘normal’ study schedule practically impossible, no matter how badly you want to earn your qualifications. (more…)

We often catch up with past students and graduates. We love hearing about how they’re going in the industry, and seeing their updates as they move into dream jobs meeting people, travelling, and learning.

But not all stories are about study then work.

Recently, we spoke to recent student Jessica Collingwood, and learned about how our famed flexible learning options weren’t just convenient, but made it possible for Jessica to graduate. (more…)

Meet Susan Afoa: Former student, current tutor, and Pacifica leadership personal development scholarship recipient!

We first introduced Susan Afoa in June last year when she was a new tutor for ITC Botany, but when we first met her, it was almost 10 years ago when she enrolled as a student!

Susan has come a long way in the past decade, and we couldn’t be more proud of her success story, or more excited for her to be part of our team so she can help new students follow in her footsteps.

We recently caught up with Susan to learn more about her experiences, her work as a tutor, and her exciting new scholarship! (more…)

Posted on 11/02/2021 by

Does your classroom look like this? If school isn’t the right place for you this year, ITC could be!

High schools throughout New Zealand are well underway with the new school year. It’s an exciting time as countless students begin their final year or two of secondary education and start thinking about the future.

However, there are almost certainly students out there who can’t help but feel like they’re just not in the right place. Whether they’ve never taken to the school system or simply have no interest in the subjects, it can be an awful and uncomfortable feeling of wasting time in one place when you could be somewhere else.

Sound familiar? (more…)

Posted on 27/01/2021 by

ITC tutor Sarah Rouse with some of her group during the International Summer Holiday short course.

New Zealand’s border have been closed to all but residents and citizens for almost a year, but that hasn’t stopped ITC from building and maintaining relationships with international students.
