Meet Brigitte: The Study From Home student who switched careers with ITC!

Meet Brigitte, the student who is using Study From Home to make a career change!
It’s not uncommon to spend many years working in one industry only to question if it’s really what you want to do for the rest of your life.
For Study From Home student Brigitte, that’s exactly what happened. She was working in IT and decided it was time to make a change, which eventually led her to us.
We couldn’t be happier that she has trusted us with her continued education, or more excited to see where it takes her! Here’s what Brigitte’s tutor Toni had to say about her journey:
“The team from Study from home are enjoying supporting Brigitte working towards her Level 4. Her exceptional customer service skills combined with her work ethic will ensure her success. The team can’t wait to see her secure her dream job in the industry.”
We chatted with Brigitte briefly to learn more about her story so far.

Not sure if high school is the best place for you this year? There are other options!
It’s that time of year again when high school seniors go back to class. Some of them are excited to be back with friends and looking forward to their final year of study. Some others will be sitting in the same classes feeling like it’s simply not the place for them.
If that sounds like you, keep in mind that you are now a young adult, and can carefully consider this decision for yourself.

Posted on 29/01/2025 by Hayley Clark
iTC graduate Lynelle has been employed with Emirates and is currently training in Dubai.
One of the most surprising things we tell our students is that the airlines don’t want graduates who have been taught how to be flight attendants.
In fact, it might even put them off hiring someone who says they have studied to be a flight attendant and are ready to step into the role.
Surprised? There’s a good reason why!

ITC graduate Leandri’s journey has been incredible so far. Hear what she’s been up to!
The team at ITC is often as much a family as it is a college, as we stay in touch with our students and cheer on their successes as they gain experience in the industry and travel around the world.
We recently heard from an Auckland City Campus student, Leandri. Leandri was initially upset about not getting her dream job elsewhere, but ITC Employment Consultant Sarndra suggested an internship with International Working Holidays.
“We made some calls and the rest is history!”, explained Sarndra.
Here’s Leandri’s incredible update:

Merry Christmas from everyone at ITC, have a wonderful break!
It’s not long until santa slithers down the chimney and eats all the bikkies, so the ITC team is looking forward to a break over the silly season to enjoy some summer sunshine and time with friends and whanau – and we hope you all are as well.
Our last day in the office will be on Friday, December 20. We will be back and excited to kick start the New Year on Monday, January 13!

Graduate Fleur has already had an incredibly exciting career – and she’s only just begun!
In early 2023, we chatted with ITC graduate Fleur who had just landed an incredible role with AJ Hackett.
Two years on, we heard about her adventures overseas, and her promotion to a managerial level at AJ Hackett. And since ITC loves to stay in touch with graduates and celebrate their successes, we thought we’d share her wonderful stories and news with new students considering following in her footsteps!
