ITC is delighted to open a campus in Christchurch, in partnership with the Southern Institute of Technology.
The International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) is bringing its industry-leading airline, travel and tourism qualifications to Christchurch.
ITC will be delivering Level 3 and Level 4 NZQA courses at the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) from mid-March this year.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our industry-leading qualifications to Christchurch,” says ITC Marketing Director Claire Huxley.

Meet Joelene Whare, our enthusiastic new Student Services Adviser.
Sometimes our students love it so much at ITC that they never want to leave! This was the case with Joelene Whare, our brilliant new Student Services Advisor (and former student). Below, she shares a bit about herself and her career journey so far.
Kia Ora, my name is Joelene Whare and I’m the Student Services Advisor at the Botany Campus.
Initially, when I finished school I wanted to go to university to study Business and Commerce. However, I changed my mind after I saw an advertisement about ITC. I knew straight away that I wanted to study with them. At the end of the day, you want to wake up and be excited about your study choice.
I decided to commit my time and effort to studying travel and tourism with ITC. I started my journey in 2016, doing Level 3 and Level 4, and I loved every moment of the experience.

Some of the Explore employees at ITC’s City Campus. Explore Auckland General Manager Alyson Curran says ITC was the “obvious choice” for staff training.
Late last year, the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) delivered a workshop for Explore Group to help prepare Explore’s staff for what might be the busiest summer on record.
With 22 years of tourism training experience, ITC is passionate about delivering training to students and tourism businesses. All of ITC’s staff are qualified trainers with practical tourism experience.
“Before our tutors became teachers, they were tourism professionals. They worked in airline, travel, and tourism, and have first-hand experience of the unique skills required to thrive in this growing industry,” says Claire Huxley, ITC Marketing Director.

The International Travel College is donating over $5,000 to charity this Christmas.
In an act of festive generosity, the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) has donated over $5,000 to charity for Christmas.
Staff voted to donate to charity in lieu of a Christmas party – and the Auckland City Mission, The Salvation Army, and YWCA were the lucky recipients.

Back in 1994, I was a little 12-year-old boy shaking with excitement and adrenaline after completing my first bungy jump. This was followed by jetboating, white water rafting, canyoning, abseiling, snowboarding, and the list goes on. The foundation of my tourism career had begun.
