At the International Travel College (ITC) Whangārei Campus, we’re proud to share some exciting news: a second full-time Tourism intake will launch in July 2026, following overwhelming demand for our February start, which filled earlier than expected.

As the only provider of full-time tourism study in the region, ITC is committed to ensuring more Northlanders can access quality education close to home, without needing to leave the region to pursue their career aspirations.

ITC has been a trusted education provider in Whangārei for many years, operating through a strong partnership with NorthTec. Our programmes are developed in close collaboration with industry, ensuring students gain real-world skills, professional confidence, and career readiness from day one.
Our graduates are known for their strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to transition quickly into employment — often fast-tracking their careers in tourism, aviation, and hospitality.
Graduate Success That Speaks for Itself
Students who completed their studies in 2025 are now working in exciting roles across New Zealand and overseas. Many are preparing to depart on the prestigious Disney Cultural Exchange Programme, a global opportunity that recognises both skill and character.
Northland graduates continue to stand out. One inspiring example is Fleur, a Whangārei graduate who has recently become the youngest site controller at AJ Hackett — a powerful reminder of what’s possible when local talent is supported with the right training.

What You’ll Study in July 2026
Students enrolling in our July 2026 Whangārei intake will complete the
New Zealand Certificate in Tourism (Level 3) with a strand in Tourism and Travel.
This programme provides a strong foundation for careers across tourism, aviation and hospitality, with a focus on customer service excellence, industry knowledge, professional communication, and workplace readiness. Developed in partnership with industry, it prepares students to step confidently into employment or progress into higher-level study with ITC.
