We have a NEW Whangarei classroom!

Posted on 12/09/2024 by

The Common Room is a welcoming space on the Whangarei Campus.

ITC has been hard at work preparing a brand new classroom for our Whangarei students – and it’s ready at last!

We’re excited to share the details of this wonderful facility, which is even more well equipped to welcome students, offers a large open space, and creates a natural, vibrant place to earn a valuable qualification.

Welcome to our fantastic new classroom

As you can see in the image, the new Whangarei classroom is a wonderful open space for study and enjoyment.

This classroom joins the rest of our wonderful Whangarei facilities, including a café on site for all your caffeine and lunch-break needs, as well as a gym so students can exercise before or after class and stay fit while they learn. There’s a student hub, a library, and plenty of bright, modern classrooms for coursework.

And of course, the outdoor spaces add plenty of areas for rest and relaxation while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine in between classes.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome students to this new campus in 2025!

Exciting plans for our new space

In the coming months, we are working hard to provide more opportunities for our students to feel like they are fully emersed in our industry by adding large wall decal, aircraft seats and an area for students to learn in a practical way when dealing with customers. A check-in area and travel desk is just the beginning. Watch this space!

The Whangarei Campus features park-like grounds.

The advantages of studying where you live

Whangarei students don’t have as many easy options as those in the major cities, but it can make a huge difference to be able to study while still living at home.

For one, students living at home can save a lot by not having to move to another city and rent a flat – let alone the added costs of food, power, and everything else.

Plus, you’ll save the hassle of having to move in the first place, or find a flat that isn’t too far from uni, too cold, or too full or flatmates you don’t get along with!

One of the best reasons we see for students not having to move away is that they still have all their support around them. Friends and family to see and spend time with while studying can be a huge help for someone working their way towards a qualification.
