9 reasons to choose ITC for your studies

Posted on 20/11/2024 by

Thinking of studying with ITC? Here are nine excellent reasons why you should!

Interested in taking the next step in your education, but not sure where to go or what to do?

We might be a little biased, but we think there are countless reasons to choose ITC to earn an industry-recognised, valuable qualification. Our courses have helped thousands of students land the jobs of their dreams, and we’re looking forward to meeting and helping thousands more!

So here are just 9 of the top reasons to choose ITC.

  1. Most importantly – you matter!

Our entire team has worked for our organisation for a very long time. This speaks volumes about our organisation as a whole and what the students mean to every single one of us.

Through the pandemic, through the challenges, and now through the incredible growth, we’ve always been consistent, we’ve supported our students and each other and we genuinely care about your future. Education matters, because this is not just training, this is real education that you will use in your career and life!

  1. Flexible learning options

ITC offers a variety of learning options, including Study From Home and Study From Work.

Our students are also only on campus to study Mon-Thurs 9am-2:30pm, so they can work part-time or just have a long weekend!

Plus, we have three campus options, so students can study close to home, whether that’s in Whangarei, Botany, or Auckland central.

  1. Practical skills

ITC students learn practical skills that help them in the workforce, such as time management, communication, teamwork, and customer service. We have an Airport Training Centre and Aircraft to help our students feel like they are already working in tourism or aviation.

  1. Career preparation

ITC prepares students for careers in the travel, tourism, and aviation industries. This is built into their qualification, and their tutors and our Employment Consultant are there every step of the way to ensure they reach their full career potential.

  1. Supportive student services team

ITC offers a variety of support services, including help with applying for student loans, the Fees Free program, student allowances, creating a CV, and preparing for interviews.

Most importantly, we offer help to students for gaining employment when they graduate. Not to mention, that support doesn’t end when they graduate or find a job – we’ll be here to cheer you on and be a sounding board throughout your career.

  1. Industry trained tutors

Our team has to have worked in our tourism or airline industry before they can deliver our qualifications in the classroom. In fact, between everyone on the team, we have more than 250 years of experience in the travel industry!

Not only do our tutors have the knowledge to support your study journey, but they also have incredible connections with a number of different organisations that ensure the best opportunities for our students.

  1. Job opportunities

Our students get access to job listings we receive directly from industry, which is not available to anyone else.

Additionally, our Employment Consultant helps with job search advice. We are the only education provider with someone dedicated to helping you land a job when you graduate.

  1. Industry reputation

We are well known in the airline and tourism industry – we have a fantastic industry reputation so employers simply LOVE ITC graduates. We’ve been directly told by industry that our graduates are head and shoulders above the rest. They are highly sought after by employers looking for work-ready staff who have realistic expectations, enthusiasm and the motivation to succeed.

  1. Free events

On top of everything else, ITC often hosts free events.

We’re about to host a Family Open Evening where you can bring along your friends and whanau to Auckland City campus to explore the site and learn more about our courses. This will be tomorrow, Thursday November 21 from 4:30 PM o 7 PM.

We will then host an open day at our Whangarei campus on December 6, and another at our Botany and city campuses on January 23!

Do you want to be a part of this journey? Get in touch with us today and secure your place and join our ITC whanau.
