New ‘Photo of the Month’ competition captures tourism fun

Posted on 03/09/2019 by

ITC students are capturing inspiring photos from their studies for a new competition.

Our new ‘Photo of the Month’ student competition is capturing all the best things about studying airline, travel, and tourism at ITC.

Students take photos of all the fun things they get up to while studying – like work experience, industry visits, and flight attendant training in the Airport Training Centre (just to name a few).

They then upload their photos to a private Facebook group to be in to win a $50 prezzy card. A new winner is drawn every month.

“The entries have been incredible!” says ITC Marketing Manager Mel Jenkins.

“It’s so inspiring to see what fun students are enjoying at College, both in the classroom and out in the tourism industry.”

Mel adds that the photo competition is a great way to show people that studying tourism is dynamic and interesting.

“There is so much more to studying than sitting at a desk and writing notes – and what better way to showcase this than with photos taken from students,” says Mel.

“My favourite thing about this competition so far is seeing all the happy, smiling faces. It makes my day to know how much our students love coming to College and studying alongside their ITC family.”

This photo competition is just one of many fun events students can partake in throughout the year.

From charity bake sales to shared lunches to industry expos, there’s always lots going on at ITC.

“You can like ITC on Facebook to see all the photo entries each month,” says Mel.

“Make sure you comment, like, and share your favourite – as the photo with the most likes, comments and shares will be crowned the winner.”
