ITC students raise funds for Arthritis NZ at Auckland Airport
Several generous students from the ITC Botany Campus spent last Saturday afternoon raising money for Arthritis New Zealand at Auckland Airport.
Wearing bright orange vests and even brighter smiles, the students caught the attention of visitors to the Airport and encouraged them to donate to a good cause.
Aviation student Julianna Faatoese enjoyed the experience so much she’s already thinking about doing it again.
“It was a really good experience volunteering for Arthritis New Zealand. We enjoyed our Saturday afternoon helping out and also supporting people who have arthritis,” Julianna said.
“Everyone enjoyed helping out and will most definitely do something like this again.”
Julianna added that fundraising for Arthritis New Zealand was also a good opportunity for her to communicate with different people from different countries. This experience will no doubt help her prepare for an exciting career in the aviation industry.
Arthritis New Zealand Regional Fundraiser Kate McGlinchey was extremely grateful for ITC’s support and impressed by the student’s efforts.
“Your students did a fantastic job on Saturday at the Airport. They were a great bunch of people and we hugely appreciated their support of the Appeal,” Kate said.
The students will be presented with a certificate to thank them for their participation, and will also be able to include the experience on their CV.
