ITC open for online learning
You can continue to study towards an airline, travel or tourism qualification with ITC during New Zealand’s Level 4 Lockdown.
Here at ITC we haven’t stopped teaching during New Zealand’s Covid-19 Lockdown – classes just look a little different!
We’re open for online learning via our online platform, which our sister company Study From Home has been successfully using for over 15 years.
Students are continuing to learn and study towards their qualification, from their homes. We’re also accepting new enrolments, so you can get started soon.
Our goal is for ITC’s online platform to be a place of learning and joy for our students, just like our campuses.
We’ve noticed there is a bit of confusion out there about what’s open and what’s not, so let us clarify exactly how we’re operating during Lockdown.
All on-campus courses are now online
Our award-winning airline, travel, and tourism qualifications are available online.
We have students continuing to complete their studies who have transitioned from campus to online learning, and we’re accepting new enrolments on upcoming courses.
Upcoming courses include:
- New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a Strand in Tourism and Travel (Level 3)
- New Zealand Certificate in Travel (Level 4)
- New Zealand Diploma in Tourism and Travel (Level 5)
You can book an information session online via our online booking system. During Lockdown, these information sessions are done over the phone. You’ll speak with a course adviser who can provide you with information about our qualifications, studying from home, and what course of study might best suit your needs.
Study From Home is fully operational
As mentioned earlier, ITC has been offering Study From Home courses for over fifteen years.
The Lockdown has had no impact on this offering, it’s business as usual for our distance learning team.

We’re offering 2019 students the chance to finish their qualification FREE of charge
If you studied with ITC in 2019, but did not complete your qualification, we’re offering you the opportunity to resume your studies free of charge.
We understand that life gets busy, and sometimes things come up that mean you can’t finish your studies in the time you set aside.
If you find yourself in Lockdown with more time on your hands, and you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend these four weeks, make the most of this chance to complete your studies and get fully qualified.
This could be the opportunity you need to change the course of your life and prepare yourself for a brighter future!
ITC will be running ‘weekly themes’ to keep morale high
We understand that, for many, studying from home will be a huge change.
That’s why we’ll be running fun weekly themes to keep morale high and give you a little motivation boost.
From dress-ups to sharing your best study from home set-ups, there will be plenty of ways to get involved in our online community and feel like you’re part of a supportive class – which you are!!
It’s business as usual – but from home
Whether you wish to complete your qualification, start a new one, or simply book an information session to learn more about a career in airline, travel and tourism, it’s business as usual here at ITC (just from home).
