New Zealand’s tourism industry is expected to grow exponentially in 2016. A qualification from ITC can help you pursue this exciting career path.

On behalf of everyone at the International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC), Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed a lovely Christmas break.

Now that 2016 is underway, it’s a great time to start thinking about your goals for the year ahead. If you’ve been thinking about pursuing a career in airline, travel or tourism, it’s not too early to start working towards this dream.

ITC has classes starting as early as January 11 – that’s less than a week from now! Even if you’re not ready to enrol on this date, you could still arrange to come into the college for a chat. Every day our friendly course advisers meet with prospective students and chat to them about their interests and ambitions. It’s their job to provide students with advice about which course might best suit their needs.

To give you an idea of the types of courses we have on offer, here’s a brief rundown of our most popular qualifications.

New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a strand in Tourism and Travel (Level 3)

If you’re looking for an introduction into the world of travel and tourism, this course is for you. Featuring plenty of fun, practical activities, this 20-week qualification teaches you about everything from flight attending to CV preparation. We have courses starting on January 11, February 15 and February 29.

New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a strand in Aviation (Level 3)

Ever dreamed of working as a flight attendant or at an airport? Study our Level 3 Aviation course and your dream could come true. This interactive qualification focuses on key aspects of working in the aviation industry, including check-in procedures, baggage processing and international travel documentation. At just 21-weeks long, you could be working in the industry by winter. Courses are scheduled to start on February 15 and April 11.

New Zealand Certificate in Travel Level 4

A slight step up from our level 3 qualifications, this level 4 course explores the industry in greater depth, and with a bigger focus on international travel. Also part of this course is a fun famil trip, which consists of a few days exploring major attractions in the North Island to learn about the tourism industry first-hand. The next level 4 course begins on January 11, with another scheduled for February 29.

These are our most popular courses, however we also offer some Level 5 qualifications for those who want to take their career to the next level.

If you’re interested in studying with ITC in 2016, the best thing to do is book an appointment to come in and meet us and take a tour of the college. Simply click here to get in touch, or call 0800 868 747. We look forward to meeting you!
