Why ITC’s newest students chose us!

Our new city campus class looking great and ready to study!

November classes have begun and are in full swing of their induction. We have some very excited students who are ready to take on a year of adventures with ITC, and we welcome them to our whanau.

We pride ourselves in our student experience. Our dedicated, well-trained team are so excited to see where we can take them all, so to get started, we asked the students why they chose us in the first place, and what their career goals are!

Why our newest students chose to study with ITC

Here are some of the top reasons why our recent enrolees decided to get qualified with us.

“I’m interested in the tourism industry, and ITC is a good opportunity to learn and get some education in.”

“I chose ITC as my education provider because I liked the idea of working with an organisation that would be able to help me acquire skills and qualifications that I need to work in the travel & tourism industry.”

“I did the ITC Academy earlier this year and I enjoyed it a lot, I also I’m in love with adventure tourism and flight attending.”

“I saw the reviews online while I was searching on Google that it’s a great place to get to know about Tourism and aviation industry if we want to get a job in-that sector. I really want to get a job at airport so thought to get to understand about the industry. So I chose ITC.”

“I am passionate in tourism and travel, this was closely related to the jobs I wanted and the things I want to do with my life. And it’s a qualification for my future careers and I can travel and go on trips.”

“They were very dedicated with helping me improve into a better industry and did not lack in any of their education standards.”

“I choose ITC because when I was in school I took tourism and we went on a short course to ITC and I just found ITC the best place for me.”

“I choose ITC because I did the tourism course through school at ITC and it was pretty fun and the work there is kind of like the work we get at school.”

“When I came here for a short course I was very impressed with how the teachers & how lovely people are welcoming me in & also they teach customer service.”

“ITC was recommended to me from past friends & sister who attended ITC.”

“I choose ITC as I know it’ll be the best for me and I’m sure it would educate me on many levels as to how I could complete my goals of being a Flight Attendant or getting to work within the NZ Airport.”

Our new Botany class is excited to start their studies.

What goals do these students have in mind?

“I would like to go to Disney and work in some ranches.”

“Currently aiming for cabin crew as my goal.”

“My goal is to work with AJ Hackett since I love to jump off of things like the bungy and sky tower. I would also love to work at Qantas I really love to travel.”

“My goal is to get prepared and upgrade my skills and to learn about the industry before getting a job which will be suitable. I really want to get a job as check in agent or anything to do with customer services.”

“The Disney job in America, and flight attendant. Cabin crew. Just travelling, and socialising with people all around the world. Maybe tour guide!”

“To find a job that will not only satisfy my hard work but also something that will be enjoyable but also be very rewarding.”

“Become a flight attendant or at least get into the career course.”

“To be able to work within the NZ Airport or as a Flight Attendant.”

Why now’s a great time to study tourism and travel

It’s never a bad time to study travel and tourism – but right now is a particularly good time.

As New Zealand’s tourism numbers grow back to what they were before the pandemic, employers across the country are hiring in droves to help meet that demand.

“The contribution of visitors makes a difference to communities right across the country. It’s a signal of coffees being drunk, experiences being enjoyed and valuable employment in regions,” explained Rebecca Ingram, Chief Executive of Tourism Industry Aotearoa in a recent Scoop article.

We’re seeing this across the board, and especially with our own students and graduates who have landed fantastic industry jobs across the country (and the world).

And the best part is that it’s not too late to join the ITC whanau. We’re still accepting enrolments for this class, and we can’t wait to welcome a few more students to the group. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions, or to enrol today and get started on an incredible career – no matter what your goals are!
