What will you say when future employers ask what you did in 2021?
It’s one of the most common questions in any interview, and you can almost guarantee that you’ll be asked it.
It’s the question that will always come up when there are gaps in your CV. Be it the time between high school and your first job, or even in between jobs. Employers will always want to know how you spent your time – and what that says about you.
In 2021, with so many people feeling unsure of what to do next, there might be quite a few gaps in resumes in the works. So how will you answer the question?
What you could do in 2021: ITC
We understand the difficulties of the past year are making it tough for some people to decide what to do next, but we do have a fantastic solution: The International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC).
Our 2021 courses offer a variety of options at level 3, level 4, and level 5, ranging from 20 weeks to two years in length. These cover travel, tourism, and aviation at an introductory level through to an advanced level, touching on everything from airline phonetics to customer service and travel documentation.
Each course is taken by a skilled and experienced ITC tutor, who has worked in the industry and is always willing to talk about their time working in travel and tourism, and ensure their passion is passed on to students.
We do not have huge classrooms either, so each student is not just a nameless face in the crowd, but an important member of the group. We believe this is vital for ensuring everyone benefits from the skills and experience of the tutors.
Why study at ITC in 2021?
Aside from simply being able to say that you studied in 2021, there are plenty of reasons to sign up.
First and foremost, ITC offers qualifications that are recognised throughout the industry both here in New Zealand and around the world. We have built a reputation as a leading provider of travel, tourism and aviation courses, and we have close industry contacts in New Zealand, so our graduates get noticed.
Plus, our employment consultants will be on hand to help you find a role in the industry after you graduate.
Our qualifications are the perfect foundation for any career in the industry. So you might end up working in a hotel in your favourite city in the world, or perhaps you’ll be an adventure tourism guide and end up bungy jumping as part of your daily job. Or perhaps you’ll find a role as a customer service rep for a major airline and travel around the world?
The possibilities are endless.
Not to mention, while our qualifications are focused on the travel and tourism industry, they also offer highly transferable skills. Communication, customer service, and organisation skills will be useful in careers outside of the industry, and they are all covered (and more) at ITC.
At ITC, you will also enjoy a four-day study week. This means that even if you were hoping for some time to relax in 2021, you’ll still have three-day weekends to spend as you please.
And finally, studying in 2021 could put you one step ahead of your competition, as they might not have such a great answer ready when asked that inevitable question!
It’s not too late to sign up with ITC, so get in touch today to find out more.
