The level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Travel starts soon – now’s your chance to enrol!

Our level 4 course is starting soon – now’s the time to enrol!
The ITC New Zealand Certificate in Travel is starting soon on July 12 at the South Auckland campus, so now is the time to enrol.
This course is perfect for anyone looking to enter the industry, offering a step up from our level 3 qualifications and additional skills and knowledge.
Here’s a little more about the course, and what you need to be able to enrol!
The New Zealand Certificate in Travel – Level 4
By studying this certificate, you are learning a wide range of skills that will open doors into the travel, tourism, and aviation sectors.
This includes a variety of practical skills such as training in coach and overland tours, and online fares and ticketing systems such as AMADEUS, which is used by travel agents and airline in NZ and worldwide.
You will learn transferrable skills such as sales, financial operations, client relationships, career development, and team work.
The level 4 course takes a strong focus on international markets, including learning geographical knowledge, which sets this course apart from the level 3 certificate.
Finally, level 4 students will earn a Cruise Ship Certificate, and will enjoy a three-day familiarisation trip that will give them first-hand experience in the industry.
What do you have to do to enrol?
Students who have already completed the level 3 certificate are perfectly placed to enter level 4 and continue their training in travel and tourism.
As a level 4 course, students will typically not be able to enrol straight out of high school, however, you may be able to enrol even if you have not studied the level 3 certificate.
For example, students who have completed high school, then spent the last at least six months working in any kind of customer service role may be able to begin with the level 4 certificate. This is because level 3 focuses on customer service, so these students may already have all the real-world experience they need in that area!
Keep in mind, you may not even need to complete level 4, depending on your career goals. Students who are looking to become flight attendants will only need to complete level 3 in order to apply. However, level 4 is strongly preferred for those looking to become travel agents, work in hotels as check-in agents, or work on cruise packages or other international roles.
Recently, one of our students enrolled after completing high school, spending 18 months working in a customer service role, then beginning level 4. He had this to say:
“Having the help from ITC and supporting me in the completion of my level 4 certificate was amazing. Being able to reach out to Mike as my tutor for any questions or any information that I needed to know, he was there whenever I needed his support.” – Robert S.
