Posted on 20/03/2018 by

Study aviation at ITC to learn about becoming a flight attendant or working at the airport.

Imagine if your ‘office’ was 39,000 feet in the air. Imagine if you got to experience the thrill of touching down in a new place every few days and call it ‘work’. Imagine helping other people travel New Zealand or the world.

That’s what a career in the sky could offer you – and more.

If you dream of working for an airline, ITC has the qualification to get your career off to a flying start.

The New Zealand Certificate in Tourism with a Strand in Aviation Level 3 is a comprehensive introduction to the world of aviation.

You will learn subjects and skills such as:

  • Fight attending
  • Aviation security
  • Dangerous goods
  • Check-in procedures
  • International travel documentation
  • Baggage processing
  • Airport geography
  • And more!

Course length: 20 weeks
Next start dates: 16 April (City) and 7 May (Botany)

At just 20 weeks, this course is jam-packed with information to prepare you for a career with an airline or at an airport.

Some graduates go on to work as flight attendants, while others get jobs based at the airport – for example in baggage handling or with car rental companies.

What our graduates say…

“It’s always been a dream of mine to be a flight attendant. I love interacting with passengers and providing them with the best service. I miss everything about studying at ITC (and everyone). I had the best tutors ever, who always gave great advice and helped me believe in myself. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them.” – Farnaaz Paruk

“I have always loved travelling and am a self-confessed plane spotter! I love being in the airport environment and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I miss the people at ITC, the friends and connections I made, and the tutors. I gained the skills to be able to enjoy every part of my job.” – Jay Patrick

“I check in passengers for flights on American Airlines and Philippines Airlines. I also help with the boarding process. Meeting people from so many countries and cultures is absolutely amazing and no two days are the same.” – Marc Pipe
