ITC International Marketing Manager Lesley Brough shares highlights from her recent work trip to Thailand and South Korea.

Lesley Brough is ITC’s International Marketing Manager. Every few months, she travels overseas to promote the College, meet with agents and potential students, and attend education events.

While these trips are for work, she does get the opportunity to see some pretty amazing places (all in the name of business).

Below, she shares some highlights from her most recent trip to South Korea and Thailand.

South Korea

I spent a week in South Korea meeting with agents (organisations that help people study overseas). I stayed in Seoul for three nights, before taking the high-speed train to Busan.

Here are a few snaps from my meetings:

Meeting the amazing team at HJ Global Edu in Busan.

Always great to visit the UhakShin team!

Apart from meeting agents, the highlight of this trip was visiting the Dragon Temple. One agent kindly arranged for me to take a tour of this magnificent site. Below are some photos:

Thailand

In Thailand, I visited Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and met with more agents.

Taxis were ridiculously expensive in Chiang Mai, so I went to all my meetings by Tuk Tuk! I was in a corporate outfit, with my laptop, taking a Tuk Tuk around the busy streets. It was definitely an experience!

However the absolute highlight of my time in Thailand was meeting up with an ITC graduate called Tee Yenvanit. Tee is now General Manager at Elephant Discovery Chiang Mai. I was able to spend the day with him and enjoy a full ‘Elephant Experience’, including feeding, riding and bathing the elephants.

It was amazing to catch up with Tee and see what he does for a living. Watch this space – we’ll be sharing more about his exciting career on the blog in the near future.

On Thursday I’m off on another work trip, this time to Hong Kong, Macau, China and Taiwan. I look forward to updating you all once I’m back!
