ITC Students shine at TRENZ 2014
ITC’s students have once again proven themselves at the Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand 2014 (TRENZ) event.
The students volunteered through the TRENZ Student Ambassador Programme. They provided support and assistance at the event, which saw approximately 1100 TRENZ delegates, international visitors and event sponsors come together at the Queens Wharf complex on Auckland’s Waterfront.
The Tourism Industry Association (TIA) appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and professionalism. TIA’s Events and Sponsorship Executive Stuart Coats said that they have had positive feedback about the students from those involved in the event, such as TIA staff, suppliers, and exhibitor and sponsorship staff.
“Without a doubt the team were amongst some of the highest caliber of student ambassadors TRENZ has worked alongside. We appreciate and sincerely value the time, the key role you played and thank you again for your considerable contributions towards the final execution of TRENZ 2014.”
Once again ITC’s students gained huge benefit from their experience. “These kind of opportunities are absolutely vital for our students,” says ITC’s Marketing Director, Claire Huxley. “They show them some of the exciting employment options that are out there if they show hard work and commitment to the industry.”
“We are very grateful to TRENZ for their continuing support of our college and our students; and we are incredibly proud of our student ambassadors.”
