ITC sends postcards to graduates who land jobs in the industry
ITC doesn’t have thousands of students every year, or lecture theatres packed with hundreds of students.
At ITC, our tutors know every student by name, and throughout the course of study, get to know their students and care about them. That’s one of the biggest benefits of being a tertiary education provider on a smaller scale – our students are so much more than just numbers.
In fact, it’s this genuine relationship we have with students that led to us starting our postcard initiative!
What are ITC postcards?
We keep in touch with our students long after they graduate, and every time someone lands a new job in the industry, we celebrate by sending them a postcard from the team at ITC.
This effort is spearheaded by ITC’s lovely Employment Consultants Sarndra and Nicky, who are the most in touch with graduates.
Here’s what Sarndra had to say about sending postcards:
“We love sending out the Congratulations postcards to students who have just got a new job in the industry. We all get very excited when one of our students has been successful. As soon as Nicky or I know that someone has a job we start the postcard, and then it gets sent around the campus so that all staff can add a personalised comment. Every time I take a postcard out to the front desk I am met with enthusiasm and everyone wants to know who has got a job and where and what job they are doing. The staff enjoy the opportunity to share how proud and how pleased they are for the student. It is always a celebration!”
And even though the students have moved on from ITC and are out in the industry, we know they still love to hear from us and see the massive support they have from everyone on the team.
We recently received an email from a student, Rafa, who had landed a job at the Formosa Golf Resort.
“I would like to say thank you to all ITC team for such a lovely post card. My reaction when I saw it and started to read all the lovely messages was WOW, how thoughtful! And it brought tears into my eyes! I feel really well looked after by the College, this card is a nice touch, and you all make me feel special.”
Rafa went on to say:
“I am so proud to be an ITC graduate, that now in my new role at Formosa Golf Resort I am working hard to proudly represent ITC in everything I do and put into practice all the skills I have gained while studying there.”
ITC is a family, and we don’t just know our students by name, we keep in touch for years after and celebrate their successes in the industry. If that’s the kind of education you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you! Get in touch to find out more today.
