Get management ready in record time with Level 5

Posted on 12/11/2019 by

Students learn about ITC’s exciting Level 5 qualification at a special meet and greet.

For students interested in a management career within the tourism industry, our Level 5 qualification could be the perfect start.

In just 48 weeks, Level 5 students cover management topics such as human resources, marketing, strategic planning, research, finance, legislation, and information technology.

The goal of the qualification is to get students ‘management ready’ in less than a year, arming them with the skills and knowledge to fast-track to a management role within the tourism industry.

Of course, the qualification is just one part of the puzzle – the path to management also involves excellent work ethic, a willingness to learn, and great people skills (all of which our Level 5 tutors try to nurture within the students throughout their studies).

For some students, studying at Level 5 might feel like a big step up – they might even find the prospect intimidating.

To reassure students that Level 5 is a great option for many different people, ITC Botany Campus recently ran a Level 5 information session: ‘Meet and greet Level 5 students’.

Organised by ITC Level 5 tutor Takeyuki Morita, the information session was described as a “huge success” by attendees.

“This event gave potential Level 5 students the opportunity to speak with current Level 5 students and learn all about what the qualification has to offer,” says Takeyuki.

“Although the event finished at noon as planned, nearly half of the students stayed until 12.40 pm. Our Level 5 students promoted the course passionately.”

Takeyuki is very grateful to all of the Level 5 students who helped organise the event and selflessly gave their time to share their knowledge with future students.

“Thank you to all the students who got involved in this event, and in particular our Level 5 students who are passionate about keeping the legacy of the Botany Level 5 course,” he says.

“I’m looking forward to seeing many new and familiar faces in the Level 5 qualification next year and enjoying the journey with them.”
