Be inspired: ‘I’m a bubbly, confident person thanks to ITC’
Sueni Lambert is happier and more outgoing since joining the ITC family.
Welcome to ‘Be Inspired’. Every few months, we give you a ‘behind-the-scenes’ glimpse into the journey of an inspirational ITC student and share what it took for them to achieve their goals. Everyone climbs their own Everest, and these students hope to inspire others by sharing the truth of their journey to the summit.
When a student walks into the doors of ITC for the first time, they often feel shy and nervous.
Yes, they are excited – but they are also a bit unsure of what’s to come.
When a student walks out the doors of ITC with their qualification, they are often the opposite – confident and outgoing, all traces of shyness gone.
This was certainly the case for Sueni Lambert, an inspiring ITC student who gained immense confidence during her time at the College.
“Thinking back to the person I was back then, I’m not the same today. I wasn’t that confident and I didn’t really like to interact with people or make a lot of friends,” reflects Sueni.
“Looking at myself now, I would say I’m a completely new person. I would describe myself as loud, outgoing, bubbly, confident, and approachable – and this is because of ITC. If it wasn’t for all the staff and students, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.”
Sueni continues: “Studying at ITC was my best decision. It gave me so much knowledge that’s helped me in the workforce and also in everyday life.”
From Level 3 to Level 5
Sueni started her journey with ITC studying Level 3, and she quickly went on to complete Level 4.
Today, she’s studying towards her Level 5 diploma, a qualification that will open even more doors for her out in the industry.
She’s so glad she made the leap after finishing high school, and she’s excited to see what the future holds.
“If I was able to go back and talk to my younger self, the advice I would tell her is this: it’s going to be okay, just be yourself, always smile and be happy, study hard, and don’t let nobody stop you from achieving your goals.”
