INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT ATTENDANT - AND LOVING IT
Natalia worked in the travel industry in Russia, but after emigrating to New Zealand she realized she would need formal qualifications to help her get back into the industry in her new chosen country.
She studied at ITC and successfully completed her National Certificates in Travel and Tourism and following that success then gained the National Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management. “I really enjoyed studying and I could see that having a Diploma would really help me in my career” she said.
Whilst completing her course, Natalia applied to Qantas to be an International Flight Attendant and to her delight she got the job! “ITC helped me tremendously ” she said, “ they helped me get this wonderful job! The confidence that I now have comes directly from the skills I learnt from ITC. The travel skills, product knowledge and the excellent customer service training.” she said. “Thank you so much, to all the tutors and staff at ITC” she said.
Natalia has gained a range of Certificates, a National Diploma, two IATA Diplomas and a $3000 scholarship, as well as a great job! What a fantastic success story!

FLYING WITH QANTAS
Bahareh had always dreamed of working as a flight attendant so she enrolled at ITC. When she saw a sign on the College notice board promoting the Qantas Open Day, she knew this was an opportunity not to be missed.
The open day was a full day on Saturday and she made sure that she spent time with the ITC Careers Advisor prior to the Open Day ensuring that she was fully prepared. It was a series of tests and role-plays, to pick out suitable candidates. “I found the experience really valuable and a great learning experience” said Bahareh. Imagine her excitement when a week later she received the news from Qantas to say that she had got the job!
“I love my job, I get to meet people from all over the world each day” said Bahareh. “I am now travelling all over New Zealand and Australia, this is just the perfect job! “ITC helped me find my dream job, the course provided me with a greater understanding of the Industry”. A real sign that her course helped her to become a flight attendant.

AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Theresa really enjoys working at Auckland airport for Air New Zealand. Her job involves checking in passengers who are travelling all over the world.
She was one of the many students that joined Air New Zealand when she finished her course at ITC. She demonstrated the key skills that Air New Zealand is looking for, a positive and flexible attitude. This resulted in her being offered a permanent contract, just proving that if you work hard, it does pay off!
“The International Travel College provided a great environment to learn – the tutors made learning fun and they have helped me to start a new and exciting career path ”said Theresa. “The college helped me build confidence and self esteem which enabled me to secure this great job!”

FLYING AROUND THE WORLD
Michael had always dreamed of working for an airline and travelling the world. So it is no surprise to the team at ITC that he is now working as an International Flight Attendant for Qantas.
Michael was very successful when it came to job hunting, he firstly secured a position with Freedom Air. Then he secured a position with Hertz. He decided that working at the airport for Hertz would give him the experience he needed to apply for Qantas.
He has just completed his four week intensive Qantas training in Melbourne . He recently called into the college where he told us he would be going to Los Angeles, New York and then Munich. All places he has dreamed of visiting and will now be doing this as part of his job!!
“I love my job” he said . “I am now travelling all over the world, so this is just perfect! ITC helped me into this great industry, the course provided me with the right skills and everyone encouraged me to just do it”. A real sign that his course helped him to become a flight attendant.

FLYING WITH EMIRATES
Melissa always had a passion for travel and meeting new people and decided that a career in the Airline Travel and Tourism industry was for her. “ I looked at a range of courses and ITC offered not only the right courses but were backed up by quality awards like ISO and the Tourism Award, so in the end felt I’d made the right choice!” said Melissa.
After graduating from the College Melissa was ready to pursue her goal of being a flight attendant, and ITC were there to make it happen!. “ITC’s Careers Advisor helped me every step of the way - from my CV preparation to the application process and interviews with Emirates.”
Melissa will be jetting off soon to Dubai for her training and excitement is building! “I can’t believe that I have my dream job already! It’s less than a year since I started my course and here I am packing up and ready to go! Thank you ITC!”

AIRPORT CHECK IN
Sandy really enjoys working at Auckland airport for Air New Zealand. Her job involves checking in passengers who are travelling all over the world.
She were employed on a short-term contract for the launch of the Air New Zealand express check in. Sandy demonstrated a positive and flexible attitude, which are key qualities that Air New Zealand look for when recruiting staff. This resulted in her being offered permanent contracts, just proving that if you work hard, it does pay off
“The tourism industry is great, I wouldn’t work anywhere else, the people I get to meet are just great” said Sandy.

EMIRATES FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Katja Wilson is now living in Dubai working as a flight attendant for Emirites. Katja called into the College as she was back in Auckland for a brief visit .She jumped at the opportunity to talk to students about her fabulous experiences since graduating from the college.
Katjas’ first job was actually working on a cruise ship, which she did for 3 months, before returning to New Zealand and applying for positions with airlines. Katja spoke of her job as being an amazing opportunity.
She spoke of the Colleges’ support and how the training prepared her for interviews and opportunities which she may not have previously considered. She has travelled to literally hundreds of destinations which most people would only ever dream of!

WORKING IN DUBAI
Nicola Paki Paki had worked in a range of positions before taking the plunge to return to full time study and embark on a career change - pursuing her goal of becoming an international flight attendant.
Nicola completed her ITC course - and within three months was based in Sydney working with Qantas. That was great - but there's more!
A year later she was offered a new flight attending position with one of the worlds' top airlines, United Arab Emirates, and is now based in Dubai. A real dream come true!

JOSH FLYING HIGH
Josh, a former ITC graduate, was successful in joining Qantas Australia as an international flight attendant not long after completing his course.
After initial in-flight training in Melbourne he started work on the Trans Tasman routes. After only a few weeks Josh was promoted to inflight Customer Service Manager off to Sydney for further training! Well done Josh!
