Almost all jobs in airlines, travel agencies and wholesalers require you to have a working knowledge of computer reservations systems. With several systems available it can be confusing as to which one to study! ITC offers you advice on the most widely used systems, and a choice of several systems, including Galileo, Sabre and Amadeus - the worlds' most frequently used computer reservations systems. National Certificate in Tourism Core Skills (Level 3)
If you have the personal discipline, motivation and commitment, you might like to study for a full National Certificate. The National Certificate in Tourism will provide you with an excellent introduction into the travel and tourism industry, covering a range of interesting topics in: customer care, communication skills, destinational knowledge, travel insurance and travel and tourism industry operations. The course is approved for student loans and allowances, and requires approximately 400 hours of study.
We recommend that learners study around 20-25 hours each week, over a 20 week period [full time study] or 10-15 hours each week over 40 weeks [part time study] Student support is provided every step along the way via phone, email, online forums and on-campus workshops, ensuring that personal contact is maintained throughout your course. All of your study materials and a study planner are included in your course fees.
