Learn directly from industry employers at the ITC Travel Industry Expo
I.T.C INDUSTRY EXPO DAY
25th JUNE 2003
The annual ITC Industry Expo is a great opportunity for students to meet with representatives from New Zealand’s travel and tourism industry and the 2003 expo was a huge success.
For one day each year, the college is transformed into an expo site and companies representing all sectors of the travel industry are invited to showcase their product to our students.

Students have the opportunity to hear first hand product information from current industry professionals. There is a wide range of exhibitors at the Expo, this ensures that students can learn from all different parts of the Industry from hotels, wholesalers, tour companies.
They can also find out what it takes to be successful in their industry from the people who know!! It’s also a fantastic chance for students to make valuable contacts with key industry people who may one day be their employers!
Amongst the presenters were 8 graduates from ITC. “It’s great to be able to invite past students back into the college to present to the students“ said Gayle Murphy, organiser of the expo. “They show exactly what can be achieved after completing the course and really inspires the students to work hard!”
The Industry Expo Day illustrates just one of the many ways that ITC works closely with industry to provide our students with current, relevant industry training.

Industry Partnerships
The International Travel College works closely with airline, travel and tourism industry employers to ensure that training is up to date and relevant. These are fast-paced dynamic industries and it's important to keep pace with product and systems. The presentations are always fun, informative and always give out students to ask the presenters about their experiences.
A regular programme of guest speakers from the airline, travel and tourism industries is a feature of all ITC courses. Students hear first-hand about the operators and suppliers in these industries, and of the career options available to our graduates. "it's a great opportunity for us to learn about what it is like to work within the travel and tourism Industry" said Veil Atwel an ITC student. |
