Visits to tourism attractions and operators

Learning not only takes place at the College but also through our extensive field visit programme. These field visits include cultural visits (e.g. to the Auckland Museum) market research outings, visits to tour operators' offices and visitor attraction venues, and a full touristic tour of Auckland city to see it as our visitors do.

The Americas Cup Village is an ideal venue for one of our visits, and during the 2000 and 2003 Americas Cup students from The International Travel College played host to visitors as volunteer 'VIP's.

These 'Visitor Information Providers' formed part of a unique partnership programme between Tourism Auckland and the College.
