ITC offers schools students i-study - Travel and Tourism programme for students

The International Travel College has an excellent range of student materials designed to help students enjoy learning about the exciting world of airline, travel and tourism. These subjects cover the National Certificate in Tourism and Travel (Introductory skills) Level 2 and some units at Level 3.

The ITC support material for secondary schools is hugely popular in New Zealand schools. These are offered as the traditional paper based workbooks or the new revolutionary computer based package.  The advantage with the computer based assessments is that the vast majority of work is marked by the computer, not you the teacher.  Feedback from teachers who are using the material has been outstanding, this really is the most innovative, concise and user friendly material available today!

Christel Chapman here from Francis Douglas Memorial College in New Plymouth said, " The teacher who is in charge of our tourism class is enjoying the content/structure of your units as are the students. Thank you on their behalf."

Melanie Patrix - Alfriston College:  "The students are enjoying the e books and the assessment structure – it allows for differentiation."

One of our distance learning students on using an EBook: “I also must add I am very happy with the set up of the colleges` online learning system, the e book really makes me want to complete my work and go onto the next exercise. Coming from someone that has studied extramurally at a university level I am very impressed.”

ITC offers schools i-teach - Travel and Tourism Resources for teachers

The International Travel College has an excellent range of support materials designed to help tourism teachers with the delivery of the National Certificate in Tourism and Travel (Introductory skills) Level 2 and some units at Level 3.

All of the tutor guides include tutor notes, teaching ideas, reference resources, answers to student handbook activities, moderated and ATTTO approved assessments and marking guides. These are offered as a teaching guide in a workbook or as DVD. The teacher online resource is designed to be used with a teaching resource either projected in the classroom or loaded onto the school server, and includes video clips, images and even quizes. Feedback from teachers who are using the material has been outstanding, this really is the most innovative, concise and user friendly material available today!

Melanie Patrix - Alfriston College:  I have found the assessments and the method of delivery for the assessments and results very user friendly, thank you. I did not even need the IT guys!

Feedback :

As promised, I wanted to contact you and say how much my St Mary's students enjoyed the Travel course they attended March 1-5. The fact there was no illegitimate absenteeism, and that they all were enthusiastic when I collected them each day, speaks volumes. They were also excited about what they learned and spoke highly of the lecturer, whom they said- 'stood no nonsense but was fun'. [If only all of us teachers were like that??]. The students learned a lot more than just 'Tourism- related skills', so I would be prepared to vouch for the quality of delivery & content of the course to anyone requiring a reference.

Thanks again,
Wendy Storey
St Mary's College.

What Teachers Think of ITC?

Travel and Tourism teacher Sue Munro at Rutherford College “Every year ITC organises an orientation day for our students, so that they can experience tertiary training first hand.”

"In the classroom I use ITC resources. Having access to such workbooks saves me time. The material is interesting, user-friendly, is moderated and is pitched at the right level for my Year 12 and 13 students. After looking around I considered the ITC resources were the best of what was offered," says Sue.

"I have been working with ITC for the last seven years and the support I receive is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. They are very friendly, vivacious, supportive and obliging. They will bend over backwards to help."
